Philosophy｜OKINAWA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

To cultivate an environment where all learners become “seekers of truth” through transcending our differences in ethnicity, nationality, language, religion, and political beliefs in order to comprehend, respect, and interact with one another. To foster global elite learners who set their sights high to identify challenges, think, and act upon their own to bring about changes to our society.

To provide a rigorous inquiry based educational program founded on three pillars: human rights and peace, coexistence with the natural environment, and multicultural understanding. To nurture the skills needed to engage in inquiry across disciplines: comprehension of global society from a local perspective, communication skill, logical thinking, quantitative reasoning, ICT/AI skills, critical and creative thinking, and advanced moral and ethical values.

The essence of learning lies in inquiry and seeking truth. At PSTA, our students are at the center of the ideal educational environment where they can empower themselves with our inquiry and truth driven curriculum.

Education should not be measured by tests and grades alone. There are also specialized abilities and skills that must be mastered throughout life. PSTA intrinsically empowers students with the ability to combine skills and become a successful member of the global community.

In order to enable clear communication while respecting others, we instruct students in the four core English skills. We also support the logical organization of essays, research, and dissertations to increase second language initiatives.

An important part of learning is the change of becoming “the person I want to be.”We academically prepare students to become global-minded citizens by giving them access to knowledge so they can bravely walk the path of self-realization.
