ILA Community Service Exhibition Invite
On Saturday, January 21, 2023, the International Liberal Arts (ILA) Course students will be holding a”Community Service Exhibition.
” The exhibition will feature student speeches in English alongside
presentation slides and photos as visual aids to outline the volunteer activities that they have
performed so far (the presentation materials themselves will be provided in Japanese).
Over the past year, the students of ILA have been involved in various charitable activities as
volunteers supporting the “Nanjo Volunteer Promotion School” movement. They have deepened their
knowledge of philanthropy through their daily good works and efforts to understand the importance of
“contributing to people and society based on one’s own initiative,” or, more simply put, giving back.
Through their actual volunteer activities, we will be able to showcase the results of this year’s studies,
which will boast the fullness of each student’s uniqueness and individuality.
Last year, due to precautions to curb the spread of COVID-19, the exhibition was virtual via an
online platform. However, this year the students will be able to present in person at a public venue. By
presenting their activities and achievements to the greater community, the students will connect with
locals and promote the wellness of connecting the City of Nanjo, Okinawa, and the Earth through
their fostered interests in working together to promote public health. We deeply look forward to your
attendance at this year’s exhibition, but we do understand if there are any scheduling conflicts
preventing your ability to come. Please take this rare opportunity to see the OIS’s ILA students in
