CSE Interview / Mr.Namiki
Today’s interviewee is Mr. Namiki.
Q. What activities are you involved in?
A. I am working on a project that will allow people from overseas to come to Okinawa and enjoy themselves through basketball without difficulty, and hopefully develop Okinawa’s economy.
Q. What are the specific activities?
A. I volunteered for the FIFA World Cup in Okinawa last year and interacted with people from overseas.
As a volunteer for the Ryukyu Golden Kings, I distributed wristbands for re-entry, communicated in English with people who often came to Ryukyu Golden Kings games, and guided people who were coming to see a game for the first time to their seats.
Q. What were some of the most difficult or impressive aspects of your activities?
A. When I was a volunteer with the Ryukyu Golden Kings, I had a hard time at first because I didn’t know what to say in English, but I think we had a good exchange by talking about ourselves and sharing about the other person.
